Why We Built This Site
Greenwich residents have several official channels, not one complete public database. The clerk at G.A. 1 in Stamford maintains the local criminal and motor-vehicle court file. Greenwich Police investigates local cases, serves process, and keeps police records. CIB manages payable tickets until a matter transfers to Superior Court. PRAWN and COLLECT are reserved for authorized government users. We bring these roles, identifiers, access limits, and confirmation steps together so readers can contact the custodian that actually controls the record.
What You Will Find Here
- Public lookup steps: using the Judicial Branch case search, G.A. 1 clerk, CIB ticket portal, and GPD records channels
- Outstanding process: what “active” means and why Greenwich has no public named warrant roster
- Missed appearances: how a bench warrant, capias, or rearrest warrant can arise in Superior Court
- Arrest warrants: how police, prosecutors, judges, and serving agencies perform distinct roles
- Resolution routes: confirming the issuing court before seeking counsel, surrendering, posting bond, or requesting recall
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference, independent of Greenwich Police, the Connecticut Judicial Branch, and every government office. Those limits matter:
- We cannot access PRAWN, COLLECT, or any other official warrant system
- We cannot confirm, cancel, recall, quash, or clear a warrant
- We do not take bond, ticket, copy, or court payments
- We cannot schedule court, arrange surrender, or promise release terms
- We do not provide legal advice about any individual matter
- We cannot guarantee that an agency's contact details or procedure have not changed
For Greenwich, confirm court status with G.A. 1 and police-held information with GPD. Only the issuing court can recall its warrant.
Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes shown on some content pages. Each provider controls its own service, results, privacy practices, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports site operation. We do not control those results or fees. Third-party data is never a substitute for the G.A. 1 court record, the CIB ticket file, or a lawfully available Greenwich Police record.
